The club began in 1980 as the Naperville Men's Garden Club but in 1995 the
name was changed to the Naperville Gardeners Club. In January 2003 it was felt
that our name should reflect the contributions we make within our community
both financial and material so, in what we hope will be our final
metamorphosis, we changed our name to Naperville Community Gardeners.
Our aims are :
 | To stimulate interest in, and increase knowledge of amateur gardening. |
 | To provide the opportunity for those interested in gardening to learn and to
work together; to share their knowledge and experiences in a spirit of
fellowship. |
 | To promote civic interest and pride in private gardens, community plantings,
parks and commercial beautification. |
But probably the best way to find out about us is to come to one of our
monthly meetings. These are held at on the first Monday of the month at
john greene, Realtor, 1135 Route 59. This is at the intersection of 83rd
Street/Montgomery Road, southwest corner.
The meetings start at 7.00p.m. and feature guest speakers and a chance to chat
over coffee with the other gardeners. Guests and new members are always
welcome.
